I Started the Apocalypse With a Half-Dead Turtle, and Ended Up Riding a Walking Fortress

What the story is about

After humanity is transported to the Gray Mist Realm, former freeloader Lin Feng is cast out of a survivor convoy because his Beast Taming ability seems useless. He discovers a hidden evolution talent that lets him strengthen his turtle, Little Xuan, by killing creatures; as the pair grow powerful, they fight monsters, gather supplies, and turn the turtle into a mobile fortress.
